Hi, I’m Shubhangi Upadhyay, a passionate and experienced cybersecurity professional with a proven track record of driving impactful security solutions. Over the years, I’ve worked across diverse roles, from research to hands-on engineering, helping organizations bolster their security posture and navigate the ever-evolving threat landscape.
Currently, I am an Application Security Engineer II at Clio, where I focus on securing cloud-based legal technology. My expertise spans application security, threat detection, vulnerability management, and automation, backed by a deep understanding of tools like XSOAR, Splunk, and Terraform.
Previously, at Wealthsimple, I improved security operations by automating processes, enhancing threat intelligence programs, and creating CI/CD pipelines to integrate detections as code. My earlier roles at Scope Security, Field Effect, and Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity have solidified my skills in incident response, threat hunting, machine learning for data analysis, and infrastructure security.
Beyond my professional journey, I’m passionate about sharing knowledge and empowering others. I regularly write blogs on cybersecurity topics, sharing insights on platforms like Medium. I also run an Instagram channel, “BeingWomanInTech”, where I spotlight challenges and opportunities for women in technology.
